Food options in San Francisco are endless. It was great fun exploring markets and infamous pier items like clam chowder served in sourdough bread. And of course, it is a must to explore stroll the streets of the Mission and Chinatown for authentic Mexican/Chinese dishes.
Restaurants range from cheap and affordable to high range. Yank Sing certainly fits into the latter category. Six 小笼包 (xiao long bao – soup dumplings) cost a hefty $14…The food was certainly good and I assume most customers have a love/hate relationship with this place: so good but so expensive.
Good Chinese food doesn’t have to be expensive. In Chinatown, lots of restaurants line up serving affordable and decent dishes. A bowl of beef noodle soup, congee or stir-fried vegetables as well as pastries and sweets.
