Eat Berlin

Europe, food

Only in Berlin would you queue close to a full hour for a Döner, a street food originating in Berlin’s Turkish community. Mustafa’s Gemüsedöner (veggie döner) is supposed to be one of the best in town. And if not, their website is hilarious!

Berlin has modern, “hipster” food down to a fine art. Markthalle 9 (market hall 9) features everything from organic, vegan, gluten free, traditional etc., including the toilet man.

“the toilet man”

As a cultural melting pot, Berlin is known for attracting all sorts of ethnical foods. A few years ago, I came across the word “fusion food” for the first time – in Berlin. You can find almost any cuisine in Berlin, or a mix of them.

KaDeWe – a giant department store with an excellant gourmet section – is always worth a visit. It offers anything your heart desires, and more, but comes with a hefty price tag.
