A perfect way to escape the crowds of the Kremlin and Red Square is to venture into the territory of the Russian Academy of Sciences aka the Golden Brains on the river banks of the Moskva. There are hardly any people there and so that provides the opportunity for photography and a peaceful stroll around the complex. A bonus: a perfect view of Moscow city skyline.
