Going strong sice 1545.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_5460\" style=\"width: 400px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/maponmyplate.com\/?attachment_id=5460\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-5460\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-5460\" class=\"wp-image-5460\" src=\"https:\/\/maponmyplate.files.wordpress.com\/2017\/11\/1710_padua_botanic_01.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"600\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-5460\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">persimmon tree<\/p><\/div>\n<p style=\"text-align:center;\">1568, Europe&#8217;s first sunflower was planted here. There is a European fan palm planted in the 16th century that <em>Goethe<\/em> admired in the 19th century. It is now nicknamed the <em>Goethe-palm<\/em>.
