{"id":5313,"date":"2017-11-26T21:31:28","date_gmt":"2017-11-26T19:31:28","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/maponmyplate.com\/?p=5313"},"modified":"2017-11-26T21:31:28","modified_gmt":"2017-11-26T19:31:28","slug":"5313","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/maponmyplate.com\/?p=5313","title":{"rendered":"Casa da M\u00fasica and Serralves &#8211; Meteor in Porto"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:center;\">Two of the sights a little bit outside of the city center are the <strong>Casa da M\u00fasica<\/strong> and the <strong>Serralves Contemporary Art Museum<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:center;\">The architect of the Casa da M\u00fasica &#8211; <em>Rem Koolhas<\/em> &#8211; describes the concert hall as a <em>meteor thrown into the city<\/em>. He even added impact waves in the plaza outside the building, a nowadays favorite with the skaters and bikers. A guided tour is available for a visit behind the scenes, explaining much of the architectural intentions and attention to detail.
