Pretty Bamberg<\/strong> is located in the state of Bavaria<\/strong> (Germany), but don’t go around calling them Bavarians, they’re not! Yes, Franconians<\/strong> can be a proud bunch. But the old town of Bamberg, listed as Unesco World Heritage<\/em>, is indeed pretty and draws in many tourists from all over the world. I believe this one is the most photographed house in Bamberg, it is the old townhall. Just walk around and you’ll find plenty of cute little houses with timber framework.<\/p>\n

The best way to explore the city is by foot, but unfortunately, it was really windy and cold the first day we visited. After all those hours of walking around, I got so cold that we had to find shelter in a caf\u00e9 halfway up the mountain to refuel. But it felt a lot better braving the cold afterwards.<\/p>\n

The sky cleared up for us the next day and we got a glimpse of the blue sky.<\/p>\n

Expect to see churches everywhere, the city is full of them. The Catholics sure had a firm grip on the city \ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n
