San Diego

San Diego does not have a whole lot of sights, but ones you can very well spend a lot of time at. Like the USS Midway, a giant carrier ship serving as a floating museum. Very interesting and time-consuming, this thing is just massive

For food choices, Little Italy provides very good Italian food that is guaranteed to leave your belly full and satisfied.

You could spend another half day at Balboa Park, or possibly a whole day or even more, depending on the museums you want to visit. It also is large and includes more than a dozen museums, a botanical garden with exotic plants and a Spanish village housing artists and craftsmen.

San Diego also features an Old Town known to be the “birthplace of California“. Be it as it may, I wouldn’t necessarily recommend going there if you have other things to do. It appeared to be tourist trap with shops, restaurants and not much else. The Mexican restaurant we settled on was okay at best, I think there are much better alternatives for dining in the lively neighborhood of the Gaslamp Quarter.
