I am a huge fan of Scandinavian design, it is so simple yet stunning and functional, with clear lines and bold shapes, not too distracted by colors but clever in its simplicity. The design museum in Copenhagen is a must for anyone interested in fashion or design and has some great exhibits showing the evolution and history of Danish design. The museum shop is also worth a visit and I had to prevent myself from buying every design item available there.

With some more free time on hand, I headed to a local museum where they had and interesting exhibition about Danish senior citizens. They made collages with a portrait and mixed it with photographs from their youth and most distinct memories. There was a little side note that showed a brief quote or interview. It was beautifully made and left lots of room for thinking.

On my way to Copenhagen, the train took the route overland, so I assumed that it would be the same going back. Halfway to Hamburg, I fell asleep and when I woke up, the train was completely empty and the outside was pitch black. A bit confused and slightly panicked, I grabbed my belongings and headed outside to see what has happened, only to find myself in some kind of garage. I spotted some stairs, went up and found myself on the deck of a ferry. I did not even know trains that big could go on ferries. I used the remaining time on deck to see Denmark disappear and Germany emerge on the horizon.
